Kuwait Credit Information Network Company (CINET) Appoints Mai Bader AlOwaish as CEO

Kuwait, 19 May 2024: The Kuwait Credit Information Network Company (CINET) has announced the appointment of Mai Bader AlOwaish as its Chief Executive Officer, with approval from both the Central Bank of Kuwait and the Board of Directors at CINET.

This decision underscores CINET's commitment to consolidating its leading position in the local market, fostering national talent, fortifying its leadership stature, and ensuring the provision of all necessary resources for its long-term strategic objectives. AlOwaish will play a pivotal role in steering CINET towards the realization of the company’s new strategic direction in the upcoming phase.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors at CINET, Alia B. Alhumaidhi, commented, “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mai AlOwaish as the Chief Executive Officer of CINET. Her extensive expertise in the banking, financial, and commercial sectors — coupled with her proven track record of industry accomplishments — will significantly contribute to steering CINET towards continued success. AlOwaish is an expert in the field of digital strategies, boasting over 20 years of practical experience in information technology and data analysis in the banking and e-commerce domains. She brings to the table over a decade of invaluable experience with Google Partners in the United States, where she worked in the field of digital transformation.
 
AlOwaish earned her master’s degree in information systems from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in information systems engineering from Oregon State University. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of the International Digital Analytics Association (DAA). AlOwaish also holds a Certified Web Analyst (CWA) certificate, a prestigious certificate allotted to only 200 members globally.
